6 cardiologists on the move in 10 days

Here are six cardiologists making moves in the last 10 days:

1. Terre Haute, Ind.-based Union Health added Dr. Irfan Shafi, MD, to its team. Dr. Shafi is a cardiologist with clinical interests in angiography, acute coronary syndromes and coronary artery disease.

2. Aravind Sekhar, MD, joined Franciscan Physician Network Cardiology Lafayette and Crawfordsville, both in Indiana.Dr. Sekhar specializes in interventional cardiology and the treatment of cardiovascular disease.

3. Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd, Minn., added Igor Vaz, MD. Dr. Vaz is an interventional cardiologist who completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Miami (Fla.) and fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

4. The Palm Beach Health Network Physician Group added Michael Halista, MD. Dr. Halista is an interventional and structural cardiologist and specializes in minimally invasive treatment of coronary artery disease and valvular heart conditions.

5. Charleston, W.Va.-based Vandalia Health added Mina Shnoda, MD, to its cardiovascular team. Dr. Shnoda previously trained and taught at Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt, and completed his internal medicine residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

6. Las Vegas-based Nevada Heart and Vascular Center added Thomas Lambert, MD, to its team. Dr. Lambert is a cardiologist with more than three decades of experience in private practice.
