5 cardiology updates in 1 week

Here are five cardiology updates that Becker’s has reported on since Oct. 24:

1. Mishawaka, Ind.-based Franciscan Physician Network added Islam Badawy, DO, to its team of cardiologists.

2. Huntington, W. Va.-based Marshall Health Network added two cardiologists to its team, including George Linsenmeyer III, MD, and Zachary Curtis, MD.

3. WebMD released the results of the hospitals and health systems that patients prefer the most for cardiology in the U.S.

4. The employment rate of cardiologists is projected to increase 3% by 2032, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. 

5. The UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute in Williamsport, Pa., made three additions to its cardiology team.
