These are the top three specialties Bain & Co. predicts will lead growth opportunities in ASCs, presented by procedure growth over time:

Cardiology:
2015: 4 percent
2018: 10 percent
Mid-2020s: 33 percent

Spine:
2015: 7 percent
2018: 10 percent
Mid-2020s: 30 percent

Orthopedics:
2015: 44 percent
2018: 52 percent
Mid-2020s: 68 percent
