Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente is building a $25 million facility with an ASC in Woodbridge, Va.

Raleigh, N.C.-based ASC developer Compass Surgical Partners has opened or announced three ASCs in the past few months, bringing their total partnered ASCs to 19. 

Pennsylvania Dermatology Partners in King of Prussia plans to open a cancer surgery center on the third floor of its new location, according to an April 9 press release.  

Studies on inflammatory bowel disease recommend screening IBD patients for anxiety and depression and offering vaccines at IBD centers. 

GI companies have been busy in the past month, from ASC acquisitions to partnerships. 

U.S. Anesthesia Partners filed a lawsuit against UnitedHealthcare, and a hospital is replacing anesthesiologists with certified registered nurse anesthetists.
