A Grantham, N.H., physician has pleaded guilty to conspiring to illegally distribute controlled substances, marking the first joint prosecution of a physician by the Justice Department's New England Strike Force and the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Vermont.

Torrance, Calif.-based Turiya Anesthesia, a physician-owned anesthesia group, has partnered with Emanate Health Intercommunity Hospital in Covina, Calif.

Adventist Health Lodi (Calif.) Memorial Hospital Foundation has purchased the Lodi Outpatient Surgery Center and added it to its network after years of leasing the center from local physicians, according to a Nov. 2 Lodi News-Sentinel report.
