For physicians opening private practices, choosing where to establish a new ASC can be a difficult decision.

Boise, Idaho-based St. Luke's has broken ground on a 180,000-square-foot medical office building in Boise, according to a June 12 report from CBS affiliate KBOI.

Medical device company IMBiotechnologies has signed a supply agreement with group purchasing organization Medicus Management, which currently supplies 20 office-based laboratories and ASCs. 

Kansas City-based University of Kansas Health System is opening a $90 million clinic and ASC in Olathe, Kan., according to a June 11 report from the Kansas City Business Journal.

Two ASCs affiliated with GI physician practice management organization United Digestive have been named among U.S. News & World Report's top ASCs in the nation for 2024.
