Noble Health Alliance joins HealthShare Exchange membership for expanded data: 5 takeaways

Noble Health Alliance, based in Fort Washington, Pa., became a member of HealthShare Exchange of Southeastern Pennsylvania, based in Philadelphia.

Here are five takeaways:

1. Noble Health joined HSX to gain more access to data that improves patient care and lowers costs.

2. HSX is a nonprofit health information organization, supported by about 40 hospitals and three health plans.

3. Noble Health is a collaboration between Aria Health System, Crozer-Keystone Health System and the Einstein Healthcare Network. The alliance offers integrated care to about 25,000 employees and dependents in Noble's medical benefit plan.

4. Noble Health's physician network includes about 2,700 physicians.

5. Noble Health's care team of nurses and health coaches can use HSX's direct secure messaging to send medical history and clinical information.

"By joining HSX, Noble now has access to near real-time information when our enrolled patients are admitted or discharged…," said David Lainoff, MD, Noble Health's medical director. "This information helps our care team identify Noble-enrolled patients who can benefit from care coordination and health management services."
