University of North Dakota honors AmSurg’s Henry Herr: 5 key notes

AmSurg Director Henry Herr received the University of North Dakota Alumni Association and Foundation Award.

Mr. Herr was one of three honorees this year. The Alumni Award is the highest given by the University. Here are five quick notes on Mr. Herr:

1. He is the former executive vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer of Healthways. He has been a director at AmSurg since 1992.

2. He has been director of Healthways since 1988 and an advisor to AmSurg from 1997 to 1999.

3. Mr. Herr earned his undergraduate degree at UND and then volunteered for the Army. After completing his service in Vietnam, Mr. Herr returned to UND for a graduate degree.

4. In addition to his most recent recognition, Mr. Herr received the UND Accounting Department Hall of Fame recognition in 2011.

5. Mr. Herr co-founded AmSurg as a Healthways spin-off.
