Medica Research elects research advisory committee: 5 notes

Minneapolis-based Medica Research Institute created a research advisory committee to enhance its research expertise in healthcare.

Here are five notes:

1. Medica chose members based on their expertise and interest in the institute's goal of conducting research to improve healthcare.

2. Jon Christianson, PhD, Guy David, PhD, Sherine Gabreil, MD, MSc, FACP, Sharon Long, PhD, Marc Martel, MD, FACEP, FAAEM, Timothy Sielaff, MD, PhD, MBA, FACS, and Neeraj Sood, PhD, compose the advisory committee.

3. The committee encompasses a mix of physicians and health policy researchers from around the country.

4. The physician researchers will advise on future lines of research within healthcare affordability, value-based care, social determinants of health and gap in health disparities.

5. The health policy researchers will have insight on health insurance, industrial organization, healthcare organization structure, pharmacoeconomics and Medicare and Medicaid.
