Greenway Health improving ambulatory practice management, EHR platforms

Greenway Health is improving its practice management and EHR platforms through its Project Polaris initiative.

Here's what you should know.

1. The company announced Project Polaris in October 2017. Since then, Greenway has spent multiple days in practice settings to discover ways to make its technology better for its user base.

2. Greenway Health CEO Scott Zimmerman said, "By closely observing the way physicians work, we’ve been able to identify the common challenges to delivering quality care. From complex insurance verification and billing inaccuracies to real-time data access and patient engagement, we’re seeing there are better ways for technology to align with value-based care and help physicians achieve improved health outcomes.”

3. Greenway Health's product and IT teams are beginning a process that'll merge "the best attributes" from its flagship software solutions into an all encompassing EHR and practice management system.

4. The company also established a customer advisory board consisting of select physicians and practice personnel. Greenway intends to use this board to receive feedback on what customers want when transitioning to value-based care.
