Here are four quick facts:
1. By 2016, Jackson City will open a free wellness clinic.
2. At the clinic, medical professionals will offer healthcare services to more than 2,200 employees and their families.
3. Medical professionals will offer services including urgent and acute care as well as annual physicals, disease prevention, chronic disease management, health maintenance and counseling. Additionally, the clinic will offer a prescription management program.
4. If employees opt out of free healthcare, they will still have the option of paying for the standard coverage offered by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi, the city’s medical provider.
