Here are four things to know:
1. The company’s employees in Nashville collected 2,522 pounds of food during June and July for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.
2. This is the sixth annual food drive the company has held to collect food for the food bank.
3. AmSurg has donated more than 18,000 pounds of food since 2009, equaling about 10,000 meals for people in need.
4. There are one in six adults and one in four children struggling with hunger every day in Tennessee.
