More than half of providers expect ICD-10 to slow claims processing.

Oregon health centers partner for low-income population CRC screening.
Twenty-two community health centers in Oregon have joined in a study aimed at promoting colorectal cancer screening in the low-income, 50 years and older population in the state. Each of the health centers is mailing individuals in the target population fecal immunochemical tests. In the pilot test run last year, 40 percent of individuals who received free FIT tests completed the screening.

NVISON Laser Eye Centers acquires Oregon center.
NVISION Laser Eye Centers has acquired Teplick Custom Vision in Portland, Ore., the company's first acquisition in the state. With this acquisition, NVISION now has a total of 18 centers.

Siouxland Surgery Center featured for outpatient hip replacement.
Dakota Dunes, S.D.-based Siouxland Surgery Center has been featured in a local television spot on outpatient hip replacements with KMEG14/FOX 44. Daniel Nelson, MD, an orthopedist with the center and with the Siouxland, S.D.-area Center for Orthopedics, Neuroscience, Orthopedics and Spine, discussed the surgery process with a local reporter, focusing on using an anterior approach method of hip replacement to speed up the recovery process.
