Williamsport Regional Medical Center to open upgraded surgery center: 5 notes

Williamsport (Pa.) Regional Medical Center renovated its surgery center, according to WNEP 16.

1. The new surgery center offers updated operating rooms with advanced equipment. The pre- and post-surgery rooms are now situated closer to the ORs.

2. The hospital spent millions of dollars on the renovation.

3. The surgery center holds one centralized location, where patients stay with their families. The hospital wanted to create a more comfortable space for patients pre- and post-surgery.

4. Following surgery, patients’ families meet with physicians in a private consult room.

5. The surgery center will open on March 1.
