Vail Valley Surgical Center Partners With City to Create 56,000-Square-Foot Medical Campus

The town of Vail, Colo., is partnering with Vail Valley Medical Center, the Steadman Clinic, the Steadman Philippon Research Institute, Howard Head and Vail Valley Surgery Center to create a 56,000-square-foot medical campus, according to a Vail Daily report.

The combined medical businesses have an economic impact of about $100 million a year, generating about a third of the town’s sales tax dollars. According to the report, the Vail Valley is “well positioned” to reap the economic benefits of the growing industry.

Lyon Steadman, CEO of the Steadman Clinic, said the area wants to become the “orthopedic Silicon Valley.”
