Valdosta-based South Georgia Medical Center acquired the general and vascular surgery practice Surgical Associates of Valdosta, the Valdosta Daily Times reports.

1. W. Harvey Miller, MD, Dallas Miller, MD, and David Parker, MD, own and practice at Surgical Associates of Valdosta.

2. They will continue to see patients at their existing location, but the practice will be renamed SGMC General Surgery.

3. The surgeons perform a wide array of operations but specialize in organs in the abdomen.
