1. The donation will go toward funding University of Mississippi Medical Center’s pediatric medical facilities’ expansion.
2. UMMC plans to build an outpatient clinic, a new hospital tower and renovate existing areas.
3. Through the outpatient center, patients may see specialists on a more convenient and timely basis.
4. UMMC plans to expand its children’s heart center and add more operation rooms as the current unit with 96 beds is at full capacity.
5. Mr. Sanderson and his wife’s donation is the second largest individual donation UMMC has received, following John L. Black’s $11 million donation in 2014.
