Four insights:
1. New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell announced the addition of Concorde’s 75 staff members and 23 physicians on Oct. 8. Concorde is based in New York City.
2. Paula Marchetta, MD, will continue serving as Concorde’s president.
“It was important to our doctors at Concorde that we continue to function as a physician-run group, maintaining the autonomy and cohesiveness which has allowed us to offer very personalized, high-quality care to our patients,” Dr. Marchetta said. “Northwell shares these same values and provides us the unique opportunity to remain as Concorde while being a part of a much larger organization.”
3. Dr. Marchetta will also become Northwell’s director of strategic initiatives in New York City’s Manhattan and western Queens boroughs.
4. The addition expands Northwell’s presence in Manhattan, which already includes 86 outpatient facilities.
