Lincoln Property Company, a global real estate firm with more than $31 billion in assets under management, and PGIM, the real estate investment arm of Prudential Financial, have acquired Surgery Center of Gilbert, an ASC in Phoenix, according to a Sept. 9 news release.
The deal marks Lincoln and PGIM’s first acquisition together in metro Phoenix, an area the partners have identified as a priority market for healthcare real estate. The 13,957-square-foot property is a single-tenant ASC leased long-term to a partnership of Banner Health, Atlas and physician surgical partners. Banner Health, one of the largest nonprofit health systems in the U.S., operates more than 20 ASCs across greater Phoenix.
The facility includes five operating rooms, six pre-operative rooms and multiple post-anesthesia care unit rooms, and supports 21 practitioners across eight specialties: general surgery, ophthalmology, plastic surgery, podiatry, ENT, orthopedics and urology.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
