Physician-led merger aims to scale tech without losing ownership

Colorado Imaging Associates and TRA Medical Imaging launched Affiliated Radiology, a physician-led radiology services organization.

Affiliated Radiology will provide partnering organizations with PACS, clinical AI infrastructure, shared radiologist read capacity, and other technology and operational services, according to a Sept. 9 news release.

Practices joining Affiliated Radiology will retain local ownership and physician leadership while sharing infrastructure and gaining broader access to AI and radiologist expertise, according to Josh Bryant, MD, president of Colorado Imaging Associates.

Colorado Imaging Associates and TRA Medical Imaging together represent nearly 200 radiologists serving hospitals, imaging centers and communities across the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain regions.

Douglas Seiler, MD, serves as physician president of TRA Medical Imaging, and Josh Bryant, MD, serves as president of Colorado Imaging Associates.
