Boston-based management company Arches Medical Partners has acquired 11 practices previously owned by Walgreens' VillageMD. 

An ASC next to East Mesa, Ariz.-based Banner Baywood Medical Center was sold to Omaha, Neb.-based NewStreet Properties, The Mesa Tribune reported March 20.

The growth of Dallas-based United Surgical Partners International in 2023 was driven by acquisitions, organic growth and construction of new centers and strategic partnerships, parent company Tenet Healthcare said in its annual report filed with the SEC on Feb. 16.

It has been more than one year since VillageMD, majority owned by Walgreens, completed its acquisition of Summit Health-CityMD in January 2023. 

Optum, parent company of ASC chain SCA Health, received approval to bypass a state review of its planned purchase of physician-owned Corvallis (Ore.) Clinic, the Oregon Health Authority said March 13.
