Large health systems are continuing to grow as regional systems look to consolidate and prepare for the future.

Tenet Healthcare, parent company of ASC chain United Surgical Partners International, finalized an agreement March 29 to sell two hospitals to Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health. 

California is the state with the most physician groups, according to a report from Definitive Healthcare.

Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente opened its first ASC in southern California, the Antelope Valley Press reported March 28.
