2. He cited five reasons why the hospital had to lay off the employees, including new outpatient surgery centers and increased use of urgent care centers.
3. Mr. Feasel emphasized the layoffs were not related to a 95-bed hospital under construction in Deltona, Fla.
4. Mr. Feasel said, “Though the times are challenging, the future is bright and these changes will help us achieve our long-term goals while maintaining our focus on continuing to deliver quality patient care.”
