Orlando Health South Lake Hospital breaks ground on surgery center — 4 insights

Orlando Health South Lake Hospital in Clermont, Fla., broke ground on a 29,000-square-foot surgery center March 27, the South Lake Tablet reports.

What you should know:

1. The surgery center will have four operating rooms, two procedure rooms, and 20 preoperative and postoperative rooms.

2. The center is on the hospital’s campus.

3. Orlando Health expects the center will open in early 2020.

4. The center is a collaboration between Orlando Health and local physicians. The center will offer orthopedic, podiatry, neurosurgery and pain management surgeries.
