Northwest Community Healthcare, Weil Regenerative Surgery Center launch joint venture: 4 notes

Arlington Heights, Ill.-based Northwest Community Healthcare bought a majority stake in Des Plaines, Ill.-based Weil Regenerative Surgery Center, and the pair launched a joint venture to provide podiatric care.

Here are four notes:

1. NCH purchased 51 percent of the Weil Regenerative Surgery Center.

2. NCH will operate the Northwest Community Foot and Ankle Center on the west end of the Weil Regenerative Surgery Center. Weil Regenerative Surgery Center will continue offering podiatric care in the building.

3. The joint venture won’t affect services at other Weil Foot & Ankle Institute locations.

4. Dr. Lowell Scott Weil Sr. established the Weil practice in 1965.

In a statement, Weil Foot & Ankle Institute CEO Lowell Weil Jr. said a hospital partner would put the organization “in the best position in the midst of an ever-changing healthcare landscape.”
