Nobilis Health Q2 revenue up 26.6% after 3-hospital acquisition in 2015: 10 key notes

Here are eight things to know about the company’s financial report:

1. Total revenue increased 26.6 percent to $61.9 million.

2. Case volume at Nobilis facilities increased 5.4 percent to 4,863 cases.

3. Revenue per case jumped from $10,136 over the same period last year to $11,524 in 2016 due to a higher acuity case mix. The company purchased three new hospitals last year.

4. Net income attributable to Nobilis for the quarter was $4.8 million; net loss was $400,000.

5. Total cash was $18.8 million for the quarter and accounts receivable was $77.6 million. As of Aug. 2, 2016, the company reported collecting on around 91 percent of the Dec. 31, 2015 receivables and is on track to collect the remaining balance.

6. Total debt for the quarter was $22.1 million, compared to $15.7 million over the same period last year.

7. The company owned and/or managed four acute care surgical hospitals and five ambulatory surgery centers. The company is affiliated with 36 facilities.

8. For the first half of the year, Nobilis reported $113.1 million in revenue, a 30.5 percent increase. Total case volume was up 8.7 percent to 8,837 cases so far this year. Revenue per case was $11,754.

9. Net loss attributable to Nobilis in the first half of the year was $200,000.

10. Nobilis reiterated organic growth guidance of 20 percent for total revenue — $275 million. Adjusted EBITDA is expected to reach $51 million.
