Here are four points:
1. Hamilton Vein Center provides clinical and surgical procedures for vascular disease.
2. As per the agreement, Nobilis will acquire the provider’s four locations in Houston, one location in San Antonio and another in Austin, all in Texas. Nobilis is entering the San Antonio and Austin markets through the deal.
3. Hamilton Vein Center Founder, Carlos R. Hamilton III, MD, will take over as Nobilis’ medical director of interventional radiology in the Houston market.
4. Once the deal closes, Nobilis’ in-network patient volume mix will increase by more than 50 percent. Harry Fleming, Nobilis’ CEO, said the deal falls in line with the company’s strategy of boosting in-network revenues.
“We are pleased to announce this agreement to acquire Hamilton Vein Center. Dr. Hamilton and his team have developed one of the largest vascular practices in Houston by delivering quality patient care with exceptional outcomes, making Hamilton Vein Center a great strategic and financial fit with our existing business,” said Kenneth Efird, president, Nobilis. “Through this transaction we will expand our vascular brand, Clarity, into two new markets in Texas, and continue the trend of expanding the proportion of our business derived from in-network cases.”
