Here are six things to know, according to the report:
1. Shiloh J. Ramos, MD, is the associate chief of staff at the clinic.
2. The center is looking to perform hernia repairs as well as a number of biopsies, with the aim to expand to orthopedic and eye procedures as well.
3. When asked why it took nearly two years to begin performing surgery at the center, Dr. Ramos told Fox 11 that the hiring and recruitment process takes time, warranting a “gradual approach.”
4. The delay took longer when former director of surgery Per Annderas, MD, stepped down last October.
5. The current director if surgery is Richard Ellison, MD.
6. When they were able to perform surgery last June, the center performed nine last month.
