Medical Facilities Corp. forms joint venture holding company buys 7 ASCs for $46.5M & more: 6 ASC company key notes

Toronto, Canada-based Medical Facilities Corp., and Leawood, Kan.-based NueHealth formed MFC Nueterra Holding Co., acquiring seven ASCs from Brentwood, Tenn.-based Meridian Surgical Partners for $46.5 million in the process.

Surgery Partners’ value fell 24.61 percent throughout 2017, however the company expects to report total year end revenues between $1.30 billion and $1.33 billion.

Tampa, Fla.-based Physician Partners of America will open its 11th pain clinic in Wellington, Fla.

Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare’s Executive Chairman and CEO Ron Rittenmeyer announced the company would lay off 2,000 employees and divest more than $1 billion in assets in an attempt to improve its financial performance.

Surgical Care Affiliates’ Blue Ridge Day Surgery Center in Raleigh, N.C., filed for $816,000 in equity financing for an undisclosed purpose.

Healthcare technology company Allscripts signed a definitive agreement to acquire Practice Fusion and merge the company into its existing payer and life sciences business.
