1. The surgery center move was motivated by a desire to add more physicians and specialties. The new center’s operating rooms are larger.
2. SurgiCenter of Kansas City hosts cases performed by 30 physicians. Five those physicians have joined the center since January, according to the report.
3. Rebecca Eckhoff is the center’s administrator. She hopes to add up to 10 physicians to the center this year, according to the report.
4. The ASC performed 3,600 procedures in 2013, according to the report.
5. Aside from the SurgiCenter of Kansas City, HCA has five additional surgery centers in the Kansas City metro area, according to the report.
