HCA Healthcare acquires 24 Texas-area urgent care clinics — 3 insights

Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare acquired 24 MedSpring urgent care clinics from Bad Homburg, Germany-based Fresenius Medical Care.

What you should know:

1. The urgent care clinics are located across Texas in Austin, Dallas and Houston.

2. HCA will rebrand the clinics as CareNow Urgent Care clinics, and will incorporate them into the CareNow network.

3. HCA has 160 urgent care clinics across the U.S.

“The addition of these urgent care centers will complement our already robust healthcare networks and help us provide more convenient access for our patients,” said HCA CEO Sam Hazen.
