Good Shepherd Medical Center opens surgery center in Oregon: 4 things to know

Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston, Ore., will soon open its surgery center, a project three years in the making, according to an East Oregonian report.

Here are four things to know about the new surgery center.

1.  The surgery center houses two surgery suites, with the capability to add two more.

2. The hospital’s former surgery suites were 350 to 500 square feet, but the new suites are 700 square feet.

3. The hospital’s surgery center expansion project cost $15.3 million, according to the report.

4. The new center will house the da Vinci Surgical System.
