Georgia Supreme Court to Review Surgery Center CON Issuance Case

The state Department of Community Health issued Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Ga., a certificate of need for an ambulatory surgery center, but Northside Hospital in Atlanta challenged the decision, according to a report by The Daily Report.

Fulton Superior Court Judge Alford Dempsey Jr. reversed the decision to issue a CON. The Georgia Supreme Court has agreed to review the decision made by the lower court.
