Georgia Physicians Call for Loosening of CON Process

A number of Georgia physicians have rallied to call for a loosening of the state’s strict certificate of need program and the issue is expected to be a high priority item for the 2014 Atlanta legislative agenda, according to a report by The Augusta Chronicle.

It is possible that Georgia will follow in the footsteps of South Carolina, which recently suspended its CON process due to budgetary concerns.
