Here are six statistics on what ambulatory surgery center leaders think are the biggest challenges their centers face, according to a 2011 Provista Report of ASC Survey Findings.

Of the ASC leaders responding to the survey:
•    51 percent think reimbursement is the biggest challenge
•    20 percent think EMR implementation is the biggest challenge
•    11 percent think physician alignment is the biggest challenge
•    11 percent think healthcare reform is the biggest challenge
•    4 percent think consolidation is the biggest challenge
•    2 percent think the largest challenge comes from another source
