Gateway Ambulatory Surgery Center secures $87k equity financing

Concord, N.C.-based Gateway Ambulatory Surgery Center has sold $87,240 in equity, reaching 50 percent of its total financing amount, according to an SEC Form D filing.

1. The total offering amount is $174,480. The ASC has financed itself with $87,240 so far, with $87,240 remaining to be sold.

Firms in the hospitals physicians sector sell 37.5 percent of the total offering size on average, according to The Press Telegraph. Gateway’s fundraising isn’t closed yet.

2. “Offering proceeds may be used to make distributions among the members in proportion to their ownership, and the members include persons that are also executive officers and/or directors,” the filing states.

3. The offering is not being made in connection with a merger, acquisition or exchange offer.

4. The minimum investment accepted from any outside investor is $29,080.

5. President F.P. Johns Langford, MD, submitted the form April 23.
