Freeman Health System, based in Joplin, Mo., has acquired and renamed a surgery center in Kansas, according to a fourstateshomepage.com report.

Here are three key points on the surgery center.

1. The health system acquired Century Surgical Associates in Pittsburg, Kan.

2. The surgery center, now named Freeman Surgical Center, recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony. The center is Freeman Health’s first in Pittsburg, Kan.

3. Century Surgical Associate’s original physicians are still performing cases at the center, according to the report.
