Florida hospital opening $34M ER, outpatient surgery center — 3 insights

Naples, Fla.-based NCH Healthcare System is advancing plans to construct a 24/7 emergency room and outpatient surgery center, Naples Daily News reports.

Here’s what you should know.

1. The health system originally proposed the development on a site in Estero, Fla., but the city denied it. NCH then moved the proposal south to Bonita Springs, Fla.

2. The facility will be 41,000 square feet. It will include an emergency room, outpatient surgery center, physician offices and imaging services.

3. Project developers expect the project will cost approximately $34 million and create 80 jobs once completed.
