Dr. Naser Rustom’s Orland Park Surgery Center Earns Approval

The Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board has granted Naser Rustom, MD, approval for an outpatient surgery center in Orland Park, according to a Crain’s Chicago Business report.

Dr. Rustom originally proposed the surgery center as a facility catering to the Islamic faith, but reworked the proposal to drop all references to Islamic law after the board issued a preliminary denial.

The board vote to approve the new surgery center was six to one.
