Board-certified dermatologist Jorge Garcia-Zuazaga, MD, has opened the Apex Dermatology & Skin Surgery Center in Solon, Ohio. The facility focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer.
G.L. Bruno Associates is moving forward with plans to develop a $150 million medical plaza in Bakersfield, Calif., that will include a 34,000-square-foot outpatient surgery center. A group of physicians initially proposed the project in 2005. If approved, construction is expected to reach completion within a year.

Greensboro (N.C.) Specialty Surgery Center filed a certificate of need application with the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation for a $5 million expansion project. The surgery center is managed by Surgical Care Affiliates.
The Surgical Center of Greensboro (N.C.) has filed a certificate of need application for a $23 million building, which would consolidate its two existing facilities. The surgery center is managed by Surgical Care Affiliates.
