Nameer Haider, MD, has officially broken ground on the OMNI Surgical Center in Utica, N.Y., according to a Utica Observer-Dispatch report. Here are four things to know.

1. The pain-management driven surgery center represents a $6 million private investment.

2. The center is expected to generate 20 new jobs, according to the report.

3. Hayner Hoyt Construction Company, based in Syracuse, N.Y., is building the center.

4. OMNI Surgical Center is expected to open in October.
