Marquette General has signed a memorandum of understanding to join Duke LifePoint Healthcare, a joint venture of Duke University Health System and LifePoint Hospitals. The organizations will now closely examine the proposed acquisition and negotiate a definitive agreement, which will be subject to various government approvals.
