Construction on St. Luke’s $16.5M surgery center begins in Idaho

St. Luke’s, based in Boise, Idaho, has had a 33 percent increase in outpatient surgeries over the past year, according to a Magic Valley report. In response to the increased demand, the health system has begun construction on its new Outpatient Surgery Center.

The surgery center, which will house five operating rooms, is being constructed on the health system’s 40-acre property, according to the report.

The project is expected to cost $16.5 million and reach completion in 2016.
