Carolinas HealthCare Systems Blue Ridge breaks ground on new surgery center: 3 things to know

Carolinas HealthCare Systems Blue Ridge, based in Morganton, N.C., has broken ground on a new surgery center as part of a two-year project, according to The News Herald.

Here are three things to know about the project.

1. The 27,952-square-foot surgical center will be built in Morganton.

2. The project also involves updating a number of the health system’s existing operating rooms, according to the report.

3. The new surgery center will have five operating rooms and be 300 square feet larger than the health system’s existing Morganton surgical center.
