Capital Digestive Care purchases Maryland medical complex to centralize services

Washington, D.C.-based Capital Digestive Care purchased a 100,000-square-foot medical complex in Rockville, Md., the Washington Business Journal reports.

Here’s what you should know.

1. Capital Digestive purchased two properties included in the complex in Rockville. They plan to occupy 50,000 square feet by 2019.

2. The practice has three offices in Rockville and additional services in Silver Springs, Md. It plans to consolidate and move those services to the new space.

3. An MRI center, a Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine physician’s group office, an OB-GYN office and an eye care center lease space in the building, and will continue to operate out of the building.

4. Twenty Capital Digestive physicians and approximately 100 employees will work there.

5. The building will have an ASC, practice space, office space, infusion services and nutritional services.
