Northwell Health’s Long Island Jewish Medical Center has cut the ribbon on a $12.6 million outpatient cardiology facility in New Hyde Park, N.Y.
The 10,233-square-foot center has 15 exam rooms and five specialized testing rooms, including suites for echocardiography, stress testing and vascular imaging, according to a Sept. 16 news release from Northwell Health.
The outpatient center will be staffed by a range of cardiologists specializing in nearly all aspects of cardiovascular medicine.
“Prevention is the cornerstone of cardiovascular health and with our evidence-based protocols we help empower patients to take control of their heart health,” Rohan Bhansali, MD, practice director of the outpatient cardiology facility, said in the release. “We now have capacity to bring patients in for timely appointments and offer same-day, in-office testing, creating a patient-oriented environment where care is comprehensive and convenient.”
