California hospital building outpatient diagnostic center — 3 insights

Sonoma (Calif.) Valley Hospital is replacing its surgical suite with an outpatient diagnostic center, which it broke ground on Dec. 4, the Sonoma News reports.

1. The diagnostic center is being funded by the hospital’s fundraising arm, the Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation.

2. The foundation has raised $18.4 million to date, with the goal of hitting $21 million.

3. The hospital expects the center to open the first phase in the summer of 2020. The hospital will break ground on the second phase of the center in mid-2020.
