Tampa, Fla.-based BioSpine Institute plans to open a new ASC in Orlando, Fla.

HCA Houston Healthcare tapped Evan Ray as executive vice president and chief administrative officer.

Seattle-based Virginia Mason Medical Center won conditional approval to build a freestanding ASC for $19.4 million.

The Snowflake/Taylor Chamber of Commerce and Lakeside, Ariz.-based Sunrise Ambulatory Surgical Center administrators held a ceremonial ribbon cutting April 5. Sunrise is a Nashville-based AmSurg affiliate.

A Bossier City, La., developer is building a $35 million medical and commercial development on a 13.7-acre lot in Bossier City. The development will feature a 10-bed short stay hospital and an ASC.

Portland-based Maine Medical Center is seeking approval from the Scarborough (Maine) Planning Board to build a surgical center on Campus Drive.
