Baptist Health Lexington acquires ASC, forms new venture — 5 things to know

Baptist Health Lexington (Ky.) acquired Kentucky Surgery Center, forming a new venture called Baptist Health Surgery Center, according to The Lane Report.

Five things to know:

1. Baptist Health Surgery Center features seven operating rooms and two procedure rooms

2. With a team of about 100 surgeons, the ASC is expected to handle 7,000 procedures in 2020.

3. Services offered at the facility include orthopedic, ENT, pediatric urology, laparoscopic and colonoscopy procedures.

4. Baptist Health Surgery Center will eventually move to Baptist Health's outpatient-focused campus in the Hamburg, Ky., area.

5. Baptist Health Lexington President Bill Sisson said the acquisition supports the system's "mission, vision and values to better serve our community with ambulatory growth strategies."
