The Florida Senate tried to adjust its Medicaid expansion plan, as Gov. Rick Scott and the House stand opposed, calling it an “Obamacare Expansion Plan,” reports the Miami Herald.

The House’s chief budget-writer also said the House hopes the Senate will take up unrelated proposals, such as “expanding surgery centers,” according to the report.

Florida’s bill HB 999 would have allowed Florida and its roughly 400 ASCs to keep patients for 23 hours. The Health and Human Services Committee voted favorably in the House, and it then died on calendar on April 28.
